Back again with another Get the Look- this time we are looking at Kara’s playful modern kitchen! I pulled together some similar key pieces that can give any kitchen a colorful and playful refresh. All items used in this Get the Look are linked below.

Small appliances are a crucial part of any kitchen and sometimes we get stuck having to keep them out on the counter or shelves, but they don’t have to be an eyesore. Use an attractive microwave that freshens up the space and becomes a design element of its own! Kettles are also a great way to bring a pop of color or pattern in the space and can be a cute accent even when not in use!

We also love mixing metals! In Kara’s kitchen we used brass pulls despite the silver tones of the faucet and appliances. The brass brightens up the space adding a modern glow.

Barstools can be a great way to bring shape or color into your kitchen! In Kara’s the blue island was doing the job bringing the color, so we used a all-over neutral stool to recede, but still brings an new form to the space. However, if you don’t have a painted island doing the job, don’t be afraid of bringing in color with the barstools- this one comes in 8 colors!

Pet portraits can be a fun way to bring in a personalized touch! Etsy is a great place to find small artists with various styles so you can find one that fits your space.
