As a recent cat owner, I was faced with the difficult task of weeded through the selection of cat products to find toys and accessories for my new cat that wouldn’t take away from the design of my space. Having a cat tree in your living room or a litter box hidden somewhere in your space often end up creating an eyesore. However, they don’t have to be! The Stella Cat bed was my first find in my search for design friendly cat products. I mean a brass base with the round shell and fur lining?? It is practically a design accessory on its own without the function of being a cat bed.

Yes, a cute AND functional litter box does exist!! This one tidily tucks the box away in a small wooden cabinet, while having a perforated panel for air flow and a drop down door for easy access. It does come with a price tag, but if you are short on space and need the litter box to be visible, this is just the option!

Cat trees are often the other biggest eyesore in the house, but completely necessary to give your cat a vantage point in front of some windows and a place to scratch! This one doesn’t even look like a cat tree when not in use, but still offers all the functional needs for climbing and scratching.

As for toys and small accessories, Etsy is a great place to find unique, handmade items all while supporting small businesses! The wool balls and tassel wands all comes in lots of different colors so you can choose a color that coordinates with your space or a neutral color. The wool cave cat bed, is a more simple option from the stella cat bed, but the natural slouchy form makes it just as design friendly. Etsy is also a great place to get a custom tag done for your cat with their name!
