Heather's Wish List 2022

Looking back at a decade of wish lists, its interesting how often putting something here manifests. Sometimes this just means I eventually buy it for myself (A couple of years ago I included a noguchi lantern—a real one- and finally put one in my new office), but it is interesting to see how my desires sort of get set. There’s very little that I look back on and think, nah, over it!

This year, clockwise from top left:

A chic, simple backpack

A new pair of statement earrings from my favorite, local Anne Erickson.

A wallet in patchwork leather!

A ceramic pour-over set. I’m always complaining that “my” mugs are missing—this one would truly be mine alone!

Hermes watch. The last couple of years I have listed the apple watch with the Hermes double tour band, but really it’s the original that I crave. This has been on my list for more than 15 years!

Design books. Top to bottom:

India Mahavi

The World of Muriel Brandolini: Interiors

Rose Tarlow: Three Houses

The Ultimate Bath

I love cute cloth napkins and recently discovered Casa Lopez. Lots of cute ones to choose from, but these could not be more “me” if they tried.

A chair for Clio’s room. It’s an upgrade from the Papasan chair we settled on, which Clio is fine with and which I regret. (I always say you regret the things you skimped on, not the splurges.)

An Indian Bedcover from Peter Dunham. These are expensive but I have long wanted one.

Last but certainly not least, a piece from my friend Tia! We have placed her work in several projects now but I don’t yet have mine own. I love these for their dimension and concept. Check it out here.

What are you wishing for this holiday season?
