This home had beautiful bones to build on, but a renovation in the 1980s, while well done, included choices that were feeling dated. We updated materials throughout and brought a youthful hand to the stately rooms, keeping formal furniture layouts but adding modern shapes and a mix of European antiques from various eras. Architect Ryan Salvatore reorganized the primary ensuite and cabinetry and some fireplaces were updated as well. The clients have a developing art collection, which grew in tandem to the interior design with a dynamic result.
