I’m a native Texan with 14 years of design experience, most being on the west coast. After graduating from The Academy of Art University, I stayed in San Francisco to begin my career in high-end residential design where I specialized in lighting and worked for HSH Interiors and Applegate Tran Interiors. I started with Heather Peterson Design in 2019 after moving to St. Paul, Minnesota with my husband and son to be closer to family. I love being outdoors and exploring the many restaurants and neighborhoods the Twin Cities has to offer.

Gold is one of my favorite colors - how could I go wrong with gold crocodile boots?! It’s the best of both worlds!
100 Interiors Around the World
This was one my first design book sets, so of course it is sentimental. Both books are packed with beautiful interiors around the globe with loads of inspiration.
Croatia
My husband and I traveled to Croatia for our honeymoon and it’s a place I’ll never forget. White stone streets and buildings, roofs constructed of beautiful red tiles, with a picturesque view of the sea everywhere you look. It looks like a fairy tale.
Monstera Plant and Mod Planter
It’s no secret that I love plants - I have over 50 plants in our loft. For all of those plants, you need cute planters! This one is from Holistic Habitat and is one of my favorites.
John Vochatzer Art
John’s art is amazing and very intricate. Every time you look at one of his collages you will find a new surprise.
Gary Danko
My husband and I loved going to Gary Danko in San Francisco on special occasions. It is old school fine dining, featuring innovative dishes based on classics and fantastic wine pairings. The service is impeccable and the desserts and the cheese cart are out of this world!
