Get the Look: Urban Boho Den

There are countless ways to change the look and feel of a room without having to paint or buy new furniture. The easiest way to make changes is to accessorize! I pulled together accessories similar to the ones we used in Kara’s Urban Boho Den that transformed the feel of the space.

Mixing different styles can be a lot of fun! This Lia Table Lamp in Smokey Teal with a shallow drum lamp shade adds a sophisticated mid century element amongst the other boho elements.

The Blue Sumi Bowl is similar to the one shown in Kara’s project. Both are from UMEI, a local shop in Minneapolis.

Coffee table books are a great and practical way to accessorize. It’s always fun when they relate to the style of the room, too. Near and Far and The New Bohemians are two boho inspired reads.

Photography is a great way to add dimension in a room. You can display your own photography from a place you’ve traveled to or support travel photographers with pieces like this White Canyon 2 print.

A boho rug centers the room and gives a palette to pull colors from. This Tufted Maria Rug is similar to Kara’s and pulls a lot of color into the room.

This Aden Tufted Throw Blanket in rust adds a textural element to make the room feel cozy and welcoming. Perfect for a den!

Adding to the boho feel, this Sumi Pillow is handwoven in India and pairs nicely with the rug and throw blanket.

This Viv Leather Magazine Holder in matcha is perfect to organize your magazines and becomes another element to bring in color.

I hope this Get the Look sparked some creativity and will inspire you to add some pieces to your own space to change the feel! More of Kara’s house can be found here.
