Heather Peterson Design, LLC is a small, full-service design studio working in the Twin Cities, San Francisco, and across the country.  Our headquarters is located in the beautiful International Market Square in Minneapolis. We are collaborative, transformative, and our design results in a completed project that reflects who our clients are and how they live. About the Position:

Schedule:  Full-time, Monday through Friday

 Job Responsibilities:

Client Services:

1. Client intake and onboarding.

2. Write proposals and make updates when there is a change in scope.

3. Execute client contracts.

4. Create project schedules and help plan the firm's overall work flow

5. Prepare pricing proposals.

6. Invoicing.

7. Project wrap-up

8. Request and collect client testimonials.

9. Manage client birthday gifts and other special occasions.

Financials

1. Run payroll

2. Work with bookkeepers on monthly reconciliation

3. Review financial statements

4. Collaborate with Principal on forecasting and budget management

Office Management

1. Oversee IT.

2. Manage and coordinate Human Resources.

3. Manage insurance.

5. Manage facilities.

6. Manage day to day functions of design office. Including but not limited to answering phones, emails, ordering supplies.

Marketing

1. Schedule photo shoots and hire/manage creative team.

2. Write press pitches.

3. Maintain press relationships.

4. Pursue creative opportunities.

5. Place Heather Peterson on panels, podcasts, etc.

6. Manage marketing budget.

7. Oversee holiday card and other collateral.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

Two to three plus years’ experience in business management is preferred. Experience in the interior design field is preferred but we are very open to applicants with transferable skills from other creative fields.

  • Exceptional communication skills including writing, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.

  • Great analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Good goal setting, strategic planning, and motivation skills.

  • People and client centric.

  • Energetic; works well in a fast paced and independent atmosphere.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Excels in a collaborative team approach.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Willingness and desire to take responsibility and ownership start to finish.

  • Microsoft Office Suite computer experience required.

  • Competent in accounting and project management software. Specifically, knowledgeable of or willingness to learn Studio Designer.
